The American Historical Review Film Series Sponsored by the American Historical Review, the College Arts and Humanities Institute, and the IU Libraries Moving Image Archive Thursday, Dec. 7, 7 PM Wells Library Screening Room, Wells 048 The American Historical Review presents “The Spider’s Web: Britain’s Second Empire” (2017), written by Nicholas Shaxson (author of Treasure Islands) and directed by Michael Oswald.

This timely new documentary about the shadowy world of British tax havens, will be shown to accompany an article in the December 2017 issue of the AHR, by Vanessa Ogle, “Archipelago Capitalism: Tax Havens, Money Markets, and the Nation-State.” Want to know how and where corporations, kleptocrats, the super-rich, and even universities (including IU) hide their money?
